References to olive-growing in the Belice Valley date back to the days when there were Greek colonies in east Sicily.

       Nocellara del Belice is a table olive, and it comes in two varieties: black and green. The very Mediterranean climate of the Belice Valley determines the typical properties of the olive and brings out the essential taste of the cultivar. 
       The olive is grown in numerous town districts within the province of Trapani.
