A region of sublime delights, in perpetual swings between works of art that enhance the spirit and the material (and fatal) attraction of convict delicacies. Hills, plains, rivers, lakes, forests, canals, castles, abbeys, cities of art, villages flooded with light, wine and unparalleled cuisine: in this peasant heart of France any element is capable of making a holiday fascinating and unforgettable.

LAND OF PRIMATES

Two apparently antithetical primates characterize Burgundy. On the one hand, it is one of the places in where the highest peaks of the spirit have been reached; on the other hand, it is the land where the pleasures of the table materialize in an extreme form.

But to discover how thin the threshold that separates the spirit from the material is it's enough to taste a grand cru .

Here, the work of man has deeply affected the landscape, made calm and relaxing by the dominance of the long waves of the vineyards and pastures.

Solitary castles, stone walls, monasteries and Romanesque churches, farms with brown roofs dot the countryside that goes as far as the gates of the most important centers where history has passed and art has left its marks.

Thus, next to the Burgundy of the Romanesque and Gothic masterpieces of Dijon, Beaune and Auxerre, it is a pleasure to enjoy the unusual one of the canals, the greedy one of the country inns, modulating the stops at the court of ruddy cellarmen who discuss wine with the calm serenity of the great philosophers.
